“Treasures of Taposiris Magna” Exhibition

The Antiquities Museum, affiliated with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Cultural Outreach Sector, organizes an exhibition entitled “Treasures of Taposiris Magna” Exhibition, Monday, 21October 2024, 05:00 pm, Bibliotheca Alexandrina Main Entrance, Auditorium.
The celebration starts with a speech by Prof. Ahmed A. Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Dr. Hussein Bassir, Director of the BA Antiquities Museum, then welcomes the attendees. Finally, Dr. Kathleen Martinez-Nazar, Head of the Dominican-Egyptian Joint Mission in Abu Sir (Taposiris Magna), delivers her speech. This will be followed by a ceremony honoring and distributing certificates of appreciation to the work team and some of the figures who contributed to the excavation work.
The opening of the exhibition in the Antiquities Museum annex follows. The exhibition presents a rare collection of archaeological finds uncovered by the joint Dominican-Egyptian mission in the Taposiris Magna area.
This event is part of a series of exhibitions and cultural activities organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to promote awareness of ancient Egyptian heritage and expand global understanding of Egypt’s rich history. The exhibition opens its doors to the public on Tuesday, 22 October 2024.
