Environment, Desert and Desertification, a seminar at the BA

Alexandria — As the Bibliotheca Alexandrina plays an important role to raise the awareness of society to the importance of environmental protection, it is holding a seminar on the occasion of the World Environment Day, on 5 June 2006. World Environment Day, commemorated each year on 5 June, is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action. The World Environment Day theme selected for 2006 is Deserts and Desertification and the slogan is Don"t Desert Dry lands. Dr. Salah Soliman, will be holding this seminar about the environment, desert and desertification.
The seminar takes place at 10:00 am, West Hall, BACC.
