Japanese Minister of Education Visits the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria — the BA received H.E. Mr. Kenji Kosaka, Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and his accompanying delegation on Friday, 14 July 2006.
Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, and Ambassador Taher Khalifa, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, accompanied the delegation in a tour of the Library, its affiliated exhibitions and museums, and different services offered by the BA to members and visitors. The tour included the Manuscripts Museum, the Digital Lab, the Internet Archive, VISTA, the Planetarium Science Center, and the Alexploratorium. It is worth mentioning that cooperation between Egypt and Japan includes cultural, scientific, and technological affairs.
