A Japanese Media Delegation at the BA

Alexandria — the BA will receive on Wednesday, 2 August 2006, a Japanese media delegation, accompanied by Dr. Zahi Hawas, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Antiquities. The visit aims at preparing a TV series and programs propagating landmarks in Egypt for tourists. The BA is one of the biggest cultural and scientific institutions in the whole world for the wide range of services it provides to the public.
Ambassador Taher Khalifa, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, will accompany the delegation on a tour of the Library, its affiliated exhibitions and museums, and different services offered by the BA to members and visitors. The tour will include the Manuscripts Museum, the Digital Lab, the Internet Archive, VISTA, the Planetarium Science Center, and the Alexploratorium.
