Tohoty Institute Discusses “Development Corridor” at the BA

Alexandria—BA hosts on Wednesday 20 December 2006 a two day conference entitled “Western Desert Development Corridor: A Means to Guaranteeing Our Future”, organized by Tohoty Institute for Egyptian Studies.
The conference will discuss the development corridor project proposed by Dr. Farouk Albaz, Director of the Center for Remote Sensing, Boston University. The project deals with the phenomenon of inefficient land-use, the phenomenon that has had numerous adverse effects on the contemporary Egyptian society. The project is to build a superhighway west of the Nile from the Mediterranean Sea coastline to Lake Nasser. The project, funded by Egyptian, Arab, and International entrepreneurs, will open new horizons for agricultural, industrial, and commercial expansion.
The conference will start at 9:00 hrs at the West Hall, BA Conference Center.
