The BA Celebrates the First Stage of Zoom Earth Program

Alexandria—the BA Planetarium Science Center will present a festival on the occasion of the completion of the first stage of “Zoom Earth” program, on Thursday 28 December 2006. The PSC will also present a lecture on satellites and its uses by Dr. Mohamed Ezz El-Din El-Raey, former Dean of Institute on Postgraduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University and Advisor to the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences.
Zoom Earth is a program prepared by specialists in remote sensing. The program is based on observing the earth from space by means of satellites. These satellites capture different images of the Earth to discover new information that can help in a better understanding of earth. The program presents different activities starting from the beginning to the end of the school year. The program teaches school students the importance of satellites, its origin, different kinds, its names, and uses on earth.
The festival will start at 12:00 hrs at the West Hall, BA Conference Center
