The BA Celebrates the Anniversary of the Pioneer Poet Ahmed Shawky's Death

As part of the BA celebration of its fifth anniversary, the BA will hold a cultural festivity in October to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Ahmed Shawky. On the fringe lines of the festivity, the BA will issue Shawky's complete works on the internet for the first time, as well as a memorial catalogue featuring his life and works.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Director, BA Media Department, stated that the Library's Sector will issue a complete bibliography, the first of its kind, comprising all what Shawky had written and what was written on him.
He added that the BA is now studying means of cooperation with the Poetry and Theater Committee, the Supreme Council for Culture to co-organize the celebration in Cairo and Alexandria on the eminent poet Ahmed Shawky, who was such a unique poet, expressing sincerely and objectively the expectations and aspirations of his nation.
