The Conflict Resolution Course is the second in a series of courses by the Institute for Peace Studies to disseminate the culture of peace. The courses started by Human Rights, Introduction to International Law, and Culture of Peace.
Mrs. Mubarak gave an address, in which she expressed her appreciation to Ambassador Ali Maher, Director of the Institute for Peace Studies, and she announced her willingness to join the Institute for Peace Studies coming course. Mrs. Mubarak also praised the Masters program at Alexandria University, in cooperation with University of Peace in Costa Rica.

The first part focuses on understanding the causes of conflicts, the theories, concepts, and techniques of conflict resolution, and the role of culture in conflict creation and resolution. The second part focuses primarily on the relation between individuals and inter-societal conflicts, in which students are taught to design their training materials on conflict resolution.
Dr. Amr Abdallah, Deputy President, University of Peace in Costa Rica, affiliated to the United Nations, commended the efforts of Mrs. Mubarak, who realized the need of the region to such courses, which contributes to the dissemination of culture of peace. He added that she gave all the support and encouragement to the preparation of the courses, which plays a pioneer role in the Arab world.
