The BA will organize on Saturday, 11 August 2007, a lecture entitled "Media and its Impact on Building Scientific Culture" by Dr. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University.
The lecture tackles the role of media in building societies, highlighting and monitoring pressing issues of interest to public. Media's real mission is to embrace culture and deliver the meaningful and expressive message to the audience, thus the lecture focuses basically on the role of scientific culture and its impact in drafting civilization and knowledge paths and formulating the scientific culture discourse through the work of scholars and their creativity. Dr. Soliman will also touch upon the challenges faced by the Arab world concerning development and scientific research.
The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs at the Multipurpose Hall, BA Conference Center.
