Juma Al-Majid Heritage and Culture Center Donates Valuable Books to the BA

Alexandria— The BA Donation Unit received a donation from Juma Al-Majid Heritage and Culture Center in Dubai, amounting to 58 books. Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of the BA Library Services Sector, stated that this is not the first donation made by Al-Majid Center, and that the last donation included a collection of books, reports, and studies including: Report on Cultural Activities in United Arab Emirates 1994; Islamic Arab Manuscripts from Restoration to Binding; Qatar Origin and Development- Historic Study; Al-Quds in the Holy Prophetic Hadiths; Arabic Book Rarities since the Beginning of Printing; Fatawa by Imam Mohamed Al-Taher Bin Ashour; and History of Middle Ages in Europe- First Period.

Juma Al-Majid Heritage and Culture Center in Dubai is a charity cultural services center, affiliated to a more comprehensive charity organization including public schools, in addition to Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. The Center started as an idea by Juma Al-Majid in 1988, then efforts of acquisition, storage, cataloguing, and classification of different cultural media took place. The Center developed its organizational structure, statutes, and appointed its staff, to respond to the need of poor students and researchers of books and references.
