“The Alexandrias of the World” Competition at the BA

Alexandria— The BA Children’s and Young People’s Libraries will organize on Wednesday, 23 April 2008, a completion entitled “The Alexandrias of the World” for Alexandrian school students.

Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of the BA Library Services Sector, stated that the Competition provides a unique challenge to participating schools. Students are required to select a city named Alexandria from anywhere in the world and develop an artistic performance about it, exceeding no more than ten minutes. There are more than 55 Alexandrias in the world, most known of which are Alexandrias of Turkey, Greece, and the USA.

The Competition will start at 9:00 hrs. at the BACC, Great Hall.
