Third Edition of the Plaza Project

The BA Arts Center announces the third edition of the “Plaza” Project, a short film production project that aims to support young Egyptian filmmakers.
Celebrating 10 years on the inauguration of the Arts Center in 2001, which coincides with the centenary of the birth of Prominent Egyptian Writer Naguib Mahfouz, the Arts Center supports the production of short films inspired by Mahfouz’s last book Ahlam Fatrat El-Naqaha (Dreams of the Rehabilitation Period). In this special round, the concept of plaza has transcended the narrow place of the Plaza of Civilization to a wider concept, were the imaginations of young filmmakers blend together.
This round is held under the supervision of prominent Director Mohamed Khan.
The Arts Center will receive applications until the end of December 2010 and results will be announced by the end of January 2011.
