The BA organizes on Sunday, 20 February 2011, an event entitled “Reflections on the Revolution” with the participation of a number of activists, researchers, and media specialists from different backgrounds and ideologies.

Aly El-Raggal, Event Coordinator and one of the Alexandrian Activists in the 25th of January Revolution said that the event is intended to be an open discussion about transformations, experiences and testimonies, which were not brought to the scene before.

The event tackles two themes; the first is an open dialogue between researchers, activists and the general public about the political, social and cultural outcomes of the Revolution, and its impact on the public attitude at large. This theme is also concerned with moments of hope and fear, confusion and concern, confidence and victory, in addition to concepts of stability, security, freedom, democracy and revolution.

In the second part, media specialists give their testimonies about the most difficult situations they faced during their coverage, and photojournalists present their most significant shots.

The event starts at 6:00 pm at the BACC Small Theater, and is open for public.
