Political Awareness Training Program to Youth at the BA

As part of the BA’s endeavors to reshape the relationship between institutions and different political groups, and participate in a healthy democratic atmosphere in Egypt, the BA Futuristic Studies Unit launched a training program for youth who are working in political awareness campaigns.
The Program seeks to provide training and political awareness without dictating a certain political or intellectual ideology, in coordination with three youth initiatives, namely: Masr Baladna (Egypt is Our Country), Sharek fel Taghyeer (Participate in the Change), and Nefham Sah… Neghayar Sah (Understand, Participate).
The Program started on Saturday, 12 March 2011, with two seminars attended by around 350 participants. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Mady, Political Science Professor at Alexandria University, spoke in a session entitled “Democracy and the Constitutional State”, while Researcher and Activist Aly El-Raggal explained how to launch media and field campaigns.
