A Clarification Concerning the Postponement of the Debate Between Hamzawy and Saleh

The BA Management had to postpone the debate between Dr. Amr Hamzawy and Mr. Sobhy Saleh that was supposed to take place on Wednesday, 27 April 2011, for logistical reasons, when the number of registrees exceeded 10,000.
Organizers at “Bassma Masreya” Group were informed about the situation. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, has spoken to Hamzawy and Saleh, who were understanding of the circumstances.
However, “Bassma Masreya” insisted on holding the event on its scheduled date, and the debate will thus be held at the Faculty of Law, Alexandria University.
It is worth noting that the BA has recently hosted Hamzawy and Saleh in two different events, both of which were well received by the public. In the meantime, the BA reaffirms its keenness to host key intellectual and political figures on the Egyptian arena.
