BA to Inaugurate First Round of Alexandria Theater Festival

In cooperation with the Theatrical Professions Syndicate, the BA is organizing the first round of the Alexandria Theater Festival to take place from 1 to 4 April 2018. This year’s round will be named after late actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.
Actor Ashraf Zaki, Head of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate, will chair the festival’s first round.
The festival will begin with a performance titled Salim nafsak (Surrender), directed by Khaled Galal, and will include seven other performances competing to win a number of awards in various theatrical fields.
A group of artists from the Theatrical Professions Syndicate and students from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and from the Theater Department, Alexandria University, will be participating in the festival.
The event’s panel of judges includes a group of selected producers, directors, actors, and artists, including producer Hany Osama, director Mohamed Moustafa, and Alexandrian composer Dr. Mohamed Hosny, among others.
