The BA Launches the “Tales of Uncle Qatamesh”

The BA Sinnari House in Cairo is organizing a series titled "Tales of Uncle Qatamesh", by the poet and writer Yasser Qatamesh. The first tale starts on Saturday, 5 October 2024, at 7:00 pm.
The “Tales of Uncle Qatamesh” is a series of tales about the life aspects of poets and writers, whereby their personal stories blend with their creative journeys. In his satirical style, Qatamesh recounts how these remarkable figures handled the challenges of everyday life, and how their works were affected by simple events or humorous situations.
Yasser Qatamesh is an Egyptian poet and writer, who has a distinctive impact on the world of literature and poetry. He specializes in a unique style of satirical poetry, which combines Classical Arabic with colloquial Egyptian.
He has published 45 books, including 15 poetry collections, and is best known for his satirical writings and poems that are published in Egyptian and Arab newspapers.
