Dar Al-Hilal Book Receives the State Incentive Award

Mahmoud Ezzat, Head of the BA Cultural Relations and Information Support Unit, received the 2014 State Incentive Award in Journalism and Media for Dar Al-Hilal Madreset Al-Tanweer (Dar Al-Hilal: A School of Enlightenment) Catalogue that was published within the Memory of Modern Egypt project.
The Award highlights the role of the BA in safeguarding Egyptian heritage and documenting the history of different Egyptian institutions.
The Book addresses the history of Dar Al-Hilal. It presents the emergence of journalism in Egypt, the beginnings of Al-Hilal Magazine and its significance, and the various Dar Al-Hilal publications.
