Hieroglyphic script course at the BA

Alexandria, 22 December 2005—The Calligraphy Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a course for teaching hieroglyphic script. The course will begin in December and continue for three months.
Dr. Abdel Halim Nuredin, Director of the Calligraphy Center, announced that this course aims at raising the awareness and knowledge, of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization and Egyptology, of all ages and specializations. He added that the course comprises two levels: beginner and advanced. During the course, the attendants will be introduced to the basics of reading and writing hieroglyphic script. The lectures will be given by Dr. Gamal Abdel Razek, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University.
