The 4^th International Summit of the Book

6-7 November, 2015

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting the 4^th International Summit of the Book in view of its leading cultural role nationally, regionally, and globally. The theme of the Summit is "Book, Reading & Technology", and it will be held 6–7 November, 2015 in Alexandria.

The International Summit of the Book is an annual global meeting that was launched by the Library of Congress in 2012 to discuss the book in all its dimensions. Every year the International Summit of the Book is held in one of the cities that has a global cultural impact; namely Washington, Singapore, Paris in the years 2012, 2013, and 2014 respectively. This important cultural event is held for the first time in Africa and the Arab world.

This year, the Summit will tackle key issues related to the book and reading and how they have developed rapidly in this age of cutting-edge technology and digitization.
