Biography

Nadia El Kholy is Professor of English Literature at Cairo University. Her research interest includes writing and translation for children and comparative criticism. She has written studies on the modern Arabic and English novel. She has been a Hans Christian Anderson Jury member and is currently a member of the IBBY (international Board of Books for Young Readers) Executive Committee. She has recently been appointed as the Director of the National Council for Children’s Culture. She has written and translated many children’s books.
