Mrs Malak Wassef Edgar
Egyptian Studies – BA, MA Consultant

Biography

Ms. Malak is a cultural anthropologist fluent in four languages. She has worked with the United Nations, the Australian Government, and community organizations in Africa, the UK, Australia and Egypt. She also ran her own private consultancy business. Her expertise lies in the administration and management, monitoring and auditing of international development projects related to education and social services. She has undertaken project research, co-ordination and evaluation on behalf of the Australian government and social organizations. Her publications include: DVD entitled “Women in Egypt Throughout The Ages”, an article in The Coptic Encyclopedia edited by A. Atiya, several articles appearing in the Egyptian French newspapers, and poems published in different anthologies in the US, Australia and Egypt, as well as an article on the web entitled “Aboriginal Living Art And The Art Of Living”. She has worked on a number of translations, the B.A. Museum website and B.A. books.  She was a keynote speaker at the opening of two Aboriginal gallery exhibitions in Melbourne, Australia, and had several appearances on Egyptian Community TV in Melbourne, Australia.
