Artistic Values and Arabic Calligraphy in a Seminar at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria — As part of the monthly cultural program held by the BA Calligraphy Center, the center will organize a seminar on 27 March 2006, entitled Artistic Values and Arabic Calligraphy Perpetuation, by Artist Mohamed Mahmoud Hasab Allah. In the seminar, Artist Hassab Allah will explain means of Arabic calligraphy perpetuation referring to analytical studies by famous calligraphy artists and presenting pictures of their works. Artist Mohamed Roteil, Head of Arabic Calligraphy Unit and Professor of Calligraphy and History of Writings, Alexandria University will moderate the seminar.
The lecture starts at 17:00 at the Auditorium, BA entrance.
