Media and the Culture of Dialogue in a Seminar at the BA

The BA Dialogue Forum is organizing a seminar on Saturday, 9 February 2008, entitled "Media and the Culture of Dialogue" by Dr. Amr Abd El-Samea, Editor in Chief, Al-Ahram International, and chaired by Dr. Gaber Asfour.
The seminar discusses the cultural concept of societies and the absence of culture of dialogue and the prevalence of power, violence, and suppression. The seminar sheds light on the factors influencing the culture of dialogue including education, family upbringing, meetings, cultural activities, and media.
It is worth mentioning that the Dialogue Forum holds two seminars monthly tackling different areas of knowledge and science, in which the audience participates in an open dialogue with the speakers, thus deeply rooting values of tolerance, dialogue, and understanding of the other stipulated in the BA's mission and objectives.
The seminar will start at 19:00 hrs. at the Lectures Hall, BA Conference Center.
