Alexandria— As head of the Egyptian delegation of the Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum, Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will once again join the members of the forum for their 6th annual meeting, on Tuesday, 4 November 2008, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After an opening address by each head of delegation, the sessions will hold open discussions on a wide range of topics: political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and social. A press conference will be held with the delegation heads after the close of the meeting.

The Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum was founded as an informal channel to exchange views and strengthen relations between Japan and the Arab world for the benefit of all concerned parties. The First Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum was held in Tokyo in September 2003, and annually brings together delegations from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.
