The First Symposium on Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) at the BA

Alexandria— The BA and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education are co-organizing Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) First Symposium, 25-27 November 2008. The Symposium is one of the Japanese-Egyptian Science and Technology Year- 2008 (JESTY-08) major events and acts as a platform for increased scientific cooperation between Egypt and Japan to develop thematic research topics of mutual interest, and to realize greater mobility of scholars.

During the Symposium, “Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology” (E-JUST) will be announced. E-Just is planned to be a world-class, research-oriented university; a leading University in serving the educational and innovation needs of Egypt, Arab States, and Africa.

The Symposium aims at highlighting State-of-the-Art trends in research, technology, initiating partnership, and promoting scientific exchanges as conduit for technology transfer between Japan and the region. The Symposium will also address issues related to the establishment of E-JUST and suggesting possible courses of action to enhance its activities, and strengthen its relation with Japanese prominent professors, universities and institutes; and endorse the potential E-JUST educational and research programs, and seek means of dual recognition of academic programs and degrees.
