The Fourth Arab Youth Forum at the BA

Posted on

Alexandria— The BA Arab Reform Forum is organizing the Fourth Arab Youth Forum from 26 to 28 February 2009. This year’s Forum is entitled “ Arab Youth Culture and Identity in the Era of Globalization”, a pressing issue for both researchers and policy makers. The Forum gives a platform for youth to express their visions and ideas on issues pertaining to Arab youth culture.

The Forum hosts leading and active Arab youth from different Arab countries. It will address four themes, namely: Is there an Arab Youth Culture? How is Youth Culture Formed? Arab Youth Identity and Sense of Belonging; and the Cultural Values of Youth.

The Arab Reform Forum organizes the Arab Youth Forum annually, followed by the Arab Reform Conference, in which youth present their views and suggestions to the Conference participants. This year, the Forum is sponsored by Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt , CocaCola , Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services and the National Council for Youth .
