Ukranian gift

Ukrainian Ambassador Andri Veselovsky presented a large placque with the likeness of the poetess Lesya Ukrainka, who received inspiration for her work in Alexandria, as well as books covering Ukraine history and culture to Ambassador Taher Khalifa, International Relations, and Dr. Yousef Ziedan, Gifts Department on 22 May 2002 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. A number of visitors from Ukraine were present, including the niece of the poet.
