Saudi Arabia’s Donation to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria, 2 January 2006- The BA received a valuable donation from the Saudi Ministry of Education’s Agency for Antiquities and Museums. The donation comprises various collection of books on antiquities and history in Saudi Arabia. The collection includes a book entitled, Ayyubid and Mamluke Coinage in the National Museum for Antiquities and Folkloric Heritage in Riyadh, and Al-Ma’lah Ashahidya Stones in Mecca Al-Mokramah.
The Saudi Ministry of Pilgrimage also donated some of the periodicals issued on Hajj (pilgrimage) and "Umrah" (smaller pilgrimage) to the BA on the occasion of the oncoming Hajj season.
