Oman introduced to digital documentation at the BA

Alexandria, 12 February 2006—Within the framework of the collaboration protocol between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Arab countries in various fields such as culture, science, and technology, the library is receiving a delegation from Ministry of National Heritage and Culture of Oman. The delegation will be introduced to the projects at the BA that apply the digital documentation, to gain from the Library’s experience in the field. An example of these projects is the digitizing of a collection of documents dating back to the era of the late Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser. The digitized collection comprises of the president’s personal and official correspondence and documents; they are all published on a website.
