On 21 August 2007, Space Shuttle Endeavour landed safely at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC), concluding a successful 13-day mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
During STS-118, Endeavour's crew members added a new segment to the superstructure of the ISS and delivered 5,800 pounds of equipment and supplies to the orbiting outpost.
Teacher-turned-astronaut Barbara Morgan said she is still getting used to gravity again, but that spaceflight was a great experience that she hopes more teachers get to share in. "The flight was absolutely wonderful," said Morgan. "I felt like I was upside-down the whole first day."
Canadian astronaut Dave Williams said the thrill never gets dull.
"It is truly the ride of a lifetime," Williams said of the launch 8 August. "Look over your shoulder and you can see Hurricane Dean."
