Pussycat and the Shell-less Snail
The photo shows a cat and a slug. The slug is the worm-like creature to the left of the cat. The cat was not paying any attention to the slug! Probably cats do not find slugs appetizing!

Garden slugs are shell-less land snails that resemble large worms. These amazing creatures are nocturnal animals, but during rains or damp weather, they may also be active during the day. They feed on plants, and can be a serious pest. BA Senior Astronomy Specialist, Aymen Ibrahem, observed garden snails and slugs during recent rain storms. He took numerous interesting images, showing the intriguing behavior of these slow-moving creatures.

“On 13 January 2008, while I was observing a large slug that was crawling on the fence of the BA garden, a beautiful cat approached me, and said mew,” said Ibrahem with a smile. “Probably the curious cat was hungry, but, unfortunately, I had no food! However, it was a good opportunity to take pictures of the cat and the slug. Fortunately, the slug did not fear the cat. ”
