School Year Program Schedule.

The PSC is organizing a number of workshops that encourage school students groups to explore their creativity and help them find out how to use it in their life; all the while enriching their knowledge. In our workshops, students are able to interact with each other and with world around them in an exciting and entertaining manner; they are graduated to have a blast! The workshops are as follows:

- Fun with Colors

Colors are all around us; they make our world beautiful in many ways, and they certainly stimulate children’s imagination. In this workshop, children will learn some interesting facts about colors and discover what they can do with them.

*Target Age: Kindergarten (KG)

- Discover your Five Senses

How do we identify the world? What are the five senses? And what is sensory development? In this workshop, students will be involved in activities and experiments on sensory experiences to explore the human five senses. They will be able to identify, compare, classify and investigate the world around them.

*Target Age: Kindergarten (KG)

- Squishy Circuits(Mini Electronics)

Children are curious about experimenting with electronics, but we always fear of electric shock. In this workshop, kids can easily use their hands to mold their very own simple circuits right before their eyes.

*Target Age: Kindergarten (KG)

- King of Hearts (Story Telling)

In this workshop, students will gain information about the human heart and the heart of whales; discovering topics such as the concept of gravity, electricity, living organizing division.

*Target Age: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd primary

- Solar System

Our Solar System consists of the Sun and the celestial objects bound to it by gravity. For thousands of years, people believed that the Earth is the center of the universe. Nicolas Copernicus was the first to develop a mathematically predictive system that led to the gradual acceptance of the idea that the Earth moves around the Sun, and that the planets are governed by the same physical laws that govern the Earth. This workshop is about the different planets of the solar system.
*Target Age: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd primary

- Mini Geographer

In this workshop, student will get to know the world map, oceans, seas, and continents and locate their continent on the map. They will learn information about their continent Africa. They will also design a model of world map using play dough and colored round plate to locate the continents.

*Target Age: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd primary

- Wave Physics

In physics, a wave is an oscillation accompanied by a transfer of energy that travels through medium (space or mass). In this workshop, the students will discover the different type of waves and their characteristics.

*Target Age: 4th, 5th, and 6th primary

- Light and Optics

Over the centuries, our view of light has changed dramatically. The first real theories about light came from the ancient Greeks. This workshop will introduce the definition of light, its properties, uses in our daily life, and the history of its discovery.

*Target Age: 4th, 5th, and 6th primary

- Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic: How Soap Works?

Have you ever succeeded to wash your plate using running water only, without using soap? Let’s know about the Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic materials and  understand how soap works.

*Target Age: 4th, 5th, and 6th primary

- Outside the Box

This workshop aims to teach students the concept of innovation and thinking in new ways outside the box.
The target of the workshop is to provide the scientific content of the ways of thinking and innovation through a presentation and after that the students conduct practical activities by innovative forms of work.

*Target Age: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd preparatory – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd secondary

- Illusion

This workshop revolves around the concept of visual deception and its secrets, and how our mind deceives us to understand and see things that do not exist! What is the role of the subconscious mind in this deception? And what is the difference between the subconscious and the conscious mind? In addition to many other questions which occupy the minds of many of us. Students will work on several interactive activities to prove some scientific theories using entertaining experiments.

- A Trip to the Mountain

Have you ever had the opportunity to make a trip to the mountain? If the answer is no, so, get ready to make an interesting trip to know the story of the emergence of rocks, what are the main types of rocks, and what are fossils. All this will be through an interactive workshop for geology in which students will do various activities using the rocks to find the difference between each type of rock … Are you ready? !!
