For the 5th year in a row, The Planetarium Science Center (PSC), in collaboration with Intel Co. organized the Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair (Intel BASEF), which was hosted by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) from 10 to 12 March 2012.

Intel-BASEF is a competition designed to increase the school students awareness of the importance of scientific research and to discover the youth innovative and research capacities. This year, the projects will be evaluated and screened on two levels.

The Planetarium Science Center has launched the beginning of a Robotics educational program in 2012, organized and managed by the PSC staff in cooperation with Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport Technology/Regional Informatics Center (AASTMT/RIC).

El-Nasr Boys School Science and Engineering fair (EBSSEF), was held on 22-23 Feb, 52 projects registered from 11 different categories. The winners of EBSSEF will be directly qualified to Intel BASEF 2012 without passing through the screening round

Start with Google is Google’s largest and most ambitious attempt to discover talented entrepreneurs in Egypt, bringing hope to a new generation of entrepreneurs in the country. Google is launching a competition, in collaboration with a local NGO, to reward the winning company with up to $200,000 of seed capital to start their business and fulfill their dreams.

Under the Umbrella of Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science & Engineering Fair, Victoria College has organized the first internal school fair, where students were able to test their abilities and learn how to go through a research project.
