NASA recently published an exquisite Hubble Space Telescope image of two interacting galaxies. The galaxies, containing a vast number of stars, appear to be performing a graceful dance under the influence of immense mutual gravitation.

On the morning of 28 October 2007, there were patterns of high clouds over Alexandria, Egypt. BA Senior Astronomy Specialist Aymen Ibrahem captured interesting images of these clouds and a fascinating optical atmospheric phenomenon, known as mock sun that gleamed over the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Nearing its closest approach to Iapetus, Saturn's third largest moon, the Cassini spacecraft spun around to capture a sweeping view of the Saturn System. Cassini's close encounter with Iapetus occurred on 10 September 2007.

NASA recently published an intriguing movie of Iapetus, Saturn's mysterious moon. The movie was produced from images obtained by the Saturn-bound Cassini spacecraft during its approach to Iapetus on 10 September 2007.

Here is a conversation worth talking about: A mother dolphin chats with her baby…over the telephone! The special call was made in an aquarium in Hawaii, where the mother and her two-year-old calf swam in separate tanks connected by a special underwater audio link. The two dolphins began squawking and chirping to each other—distinctive dolphin chatter.
