Abstract:
This paper is an opinion piece developed through a series of four workshops convened by the Bernard van Leer Foundation in preparation of the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto in August 2006. A five-point “Call to action” prefaces the paper, stressing the importance of family- and community-based care and government provision of universal integrated services.
