Abstract:
In this article, René Groothuis, director of Cordaid, argues that the traditional aid model, which takes for granted a North-South, rich-poor divide, needs to be discarded in favour of a new narrative that looks far beyond the Millennium Development Goals and focuses on people’s collective selfinterest for more global justice and pluralism.
