All day, the cabritos live in the corrals without attention or even water. Their mothers are browsing in the matorral. If the cabritos followed their mothers into the matorral, their forelegs would be painfully infected by spines. Clostridial, streptococcal and staphylococcal (bacterial) infections would become very acute problems.
