Dr. LaPorte is very pleased to be nominated for the Universities teaching award. In 1991 he received the first Outstanding Teaching award for the Graduate School of Public Health. In 2005 he received the most prestigious lifetime achievement teaching award from the American Public Health Association, only one of which is given world wide.
