Hello my name is Susan Fleming. I am a maternal child nurse and instructor at Washington State University. I am pleased to hear that you are interested in teaching a course in “Natural Family Planning”. This course consist of three methods plus a combined bracelet method. I or my students have taught this course in many places in Central and South America; such as: Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras, & Peru. We have found that women are extremely interested in the low cost method of planning their families. Most of the methods that I will discuss have been taught as separate subjects. However, I like to pull them together in a combined class that uses the bracelet. The next four slides are for health professionals ( nurses, nursing attendants and physicians). Then from slide 7 on, it is for teaching women and (men if they choose to come) about natural family planning. My husband and I have used Natural Family Planning for 25 years and we have 4 children that were all planned and well loved. Best wishes in your teaching. |
