The Library of Alexandria and the WHO Collaborating Centre in Pittsburgh have had an 8 year collaboration, which included the establishment of the largest network in global health and prevention, the identification of all deans in Medical Schools and Schools of Public Health as well as direct partnership with the World Health Organization. The Library Effort is headed by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, and the WHO CC by Drs. LaPorte, Linkov (Pittsburgh), Sauer (Kansas), and Shubnikov (Russia)
