When this occurs students should maintain correct handwashing techniques and if appropriate have a discussion about the techniques used in the hospital or clinic and the reasons for the variation. However, in many cultures this may not be appropriate. How a student deals with this situation will depend on the relationship of the student to the person who fails to wash their hands, the culture of the hospital and the culture of the society. |
