Frédéric Macler and René Dussaud found the inscription of Namarra near the village of Nemara in Syria. It is written in late Nabatean script and dated 223 according to Busra calender (328 A.D).
It records the victory of King Imru’ al-Qais bin Amr, King of Al-Hira, on "Akkadi" of the tribe of Muthhaj in a battle near the city of Najran in Yemen and subjugation of the tribe to the authority of Rome after the killing of "Akkadi" on December 7, 328 AD (223 according to the Busrian calender).
