This ostraca contains three texts in form of receipts for paying taxes; the first text refers to the tax of the cemetery. The second text is damaged from the upper side, but from the context, one can understand that it is a receipt of a tax. While the third text refers to the Antwg- tax. The first and second texts date back to the reign of Augustus (2 B.C – 5 B.C.); while the date of the third text is lost. It is remarkable that the first and third receipts were paid in the bank of the northern houses known in this area of Madinet Hapu.
