The Center recently published the Twelfth Issue of Abgadiyat Journal; a scientific refereed journal issued annually. Abgadiyat Journal is published and distributed worldwide in partnership with Brill Publishing, Leiden, Netherlands.

 The Center published the English edition of the book Words from Life in Ancient Egypt after publishing the Arabic edition. The book aims to address children in the age of 9- 14 and targets school students.

 The Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Writing and Scripts Center organizes a course entitled: Research Methodology in the Study of Ancient Egyptian Inscriptions and Scripts on Wednesday and Thursday, 11 – 12 April 2018. Prominent researchers are to give presentations in the course, which is organized successfully for the 3rd year in a raw. It aims to educate archeologists and scholars on the methodology to study antiquities, inscriptions, and scripts. 

 The Center organizes a seminar entitled: Arabic Texts and Inscriptions between the East and the West on Thursday, 1 March 2018. The seminar presents various types of Arabic texts and inscriptions that appeared in different parts of the Islamic world, such as Andalusia (now Spain and Portugal), cities of the silk road in Central Asia, and Greece during the Ottoman reign, in addition to the Egyptian experience in the development of writing and Arabic calligraphy.
