The book is divided into three main sections as follows: The first section deals with inscriptions on the religious buildings in the mosques, as well as the inscriptions of the construction and the Waqf and inscription on tombs.

The second section are inscriptions on the civil buildings, both on the Bimarstanas, which are public hospitals to treat all diseases, or the Khans that were usually established in the important commercial routes for the accommodation of passengers and their animals and their goods, or Sabila, hawks and mills, which was established to provide water to cities.
The third section contains inscriptions on the military buildings on fences and citadel of Damascus and Aleppo and the inscriptions in the fortress of the Kurds. In most of the study, the researcher began a course in which he started with the cities of Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, Hims, Ghabla, Latakia, and other cities and villages.
