First Issue of Scripts Notebooks titled “The History and Inscriptions of the Nabataeans in the Eastern Nile Delta.”

This issue presents a study on the history and inscriptions of the Nabataeans in the Eastern Nile Delta, written by Dr. Mahmoud Salem Ghanem, Senior Inspector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and a specialist in reading and analyzing Nabataean inscriptions.

The study sheds light on the presence of the Nabateans in Egypt using a linguistic analysis of a group of Nabataean inscriptions that were found in the eastern Nile Delta of Egypt and the western Gulf of Suez. The study also deals with the relations between the Kingdom of the Nabataeans and ancient Egypt; as well as the religious, social and commercial activities of the Nabataeans in Egypt.
