The BA Organizes the 8th Edition of the International Francophone School in Rabat

The BA International Communication Section, the International Francophone Association of Librarians and Documentalists (AIFBD), the Kingdom of Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and its National Library (BNRM), together with the School of Information Sciences (ESI) are organizing the eighth round of the International Francophone Summer School of Library and Information Sciences, under the title "Open Data: The Pillar of Innovation and Digital Transformation.” The event will take place from 14 to 19 May 2024 in Rabat, Morocco.
The eighth edition sheds light on the subject of open data and open science, as the cultural program of the International Francophone Summer School includes a number of intensive courses, which are held over six consecutive days, with a total of 30 hours. The program focuses on three main topics that combine theoretical and practical aspects, namely the issues of open data, open science in the era of digitization, and artificial intelligence. The program also features workshops on how to use open data tools and techniques, and panel discussions on the challenges and opportunities related to this topic.
