Covid 19: Vaccines, Drugs and Testing with a Special Focus in Egypt
Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) in collaboration with Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program, Academic Research sector, Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) organized an online lecture on Tuesday, 19th of May, 2020 at 4:00 pm, entitled Covid 19: Vaccines, Drugs and Testing with a Special Focus in Egypt. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ashraf El-Feky, Clinical Research Expert at EMMES, Maryland, Unites States of America. This webinar was the third of a series of webinars explaining the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) from the environmental and health aspects.

The opening remark of the webinar was by Her excellency Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs and was moderated by His Excellency Prof. Sherif Hammad, Former Minister of Scientific Research in Egypt.

The Webinar highlighted the nature of the emerging corona virus and its biological fierceness and why the virus has mobilized health systems around the world, it also discussed the nature of the vaccine, its composition and its ongoing clinical experiences. It also shed light on the different medications, which are more expected to be approved and the expected date of to be in the market, and analyzes of the approved to date. Also, the difference and the value of each of them in the field management of the epidemic.
