Overview
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina established the Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program as one of the programs affiliated to the Academic Research Sector. The BA believes in the role of youths and their inclusion in discussions related to sustainable development.
Our Vision
The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program aims to become a leading national and regional program engaged in studies and activities in the field of sustainable development, as well as build and develop the skills of Egyptian and African youth.
Our Mission
The program aims to develop academic and knowledge-based skills related to the sustainable development field, especially of Egyptian and African youth, and to advance public debate and raise public awareness in this field.
Objectives
- Establish strategic partnerships with like-minded universities, research centers and institutions.
- Organize thematic training programs and workshops to develop national capacities on knowledge and methods.
- Promote awareness among youth through different events and activities.
- Conduct studies and reports on a national, regional, and international scale related to sustainable development.
